Julie Zuckerberg, Leading Executive Recruiter for Deutsche Bank

As a Lead Executive Recruiter and Vice President, Julie Zuckerberg heads the executive staffing efforts for Deutsche Bank – one of the largest financial institutions in the world. With operations in over 70 countries worldwide, Deutsche Bank was founded in Berlin, Germany in 1870. Ms. Zuckerberg works in the organization’s downtown New York City office.


Julie Zuckerberg is a seasoned executive with world class skills. In this position, as in others before it at New York Life and Citibank, she consults with C-level staff, providing strategic direction for top candidate acquisitions in the Private, Wealth and Commercial Clients division, the Asset Management group and Global Technology sector.


Deutsche Bank’s Private, Wealth and Commercial Clients division addresses the banking needs of very high net worth individuals along with commercial clients in some of the world’s most prominent businesses. The Asset Management group protects clients portfolios. The Global Technology division addresses the company-wide financial technology needs of the entire institution. For these three divisions, Julie handles the full lifecycle of recruiting from sourcing and presentation to ultimately hiring some of the financial industry’s most accomplished Managing Directors. She often handles negotiations for complex compensation packages, intricate legal immigration issues and global variations of the expatriation process.


Ms Julie Zuckerberg also trains, coaches and leads the efforts of high performance recruiting teams at Deutsche Bank, both supervising and providing strategic direction to employees such as recruiting coordinators, candidate sourcers and front line recruiters. She contributes her 15 years of experience in the finance sector to continuously improve candidate selection, initial screening and the global hiring processes at Deutsche Bank. She researches and counsels others on the industry’s leading hiring practices, competitive markets and compensation trends, enabling her employer to continuously attract the best possible candidates for demanding positions. Additionally, she regularly reviews company processes for quality, compliance and audit procedures to ensure checks and balances are in place and functioning properly.


A long time resident of Manhattan, Julie attended New York Law School and Brooklyn College where she studied law and philosophy. In her extensive recruiting career she has honed advanced skills in Management, Leadership, Conflict Resolution, Change Management and Executive Staffing. Specializing in the financial sector, Julie has been a Vice President at Citibank, New York Life and at Deutsche Bank. In her 15 years of financial recruiting she has gained expertise in all facets of the executive recruiting process.


On a personal level, Julie is interested in the arts, photography, home decorating, running and travel. A self-described foodie, she frequents the best restaurants in New York City. She also takes time to contribute to causes which concern her such as human rights, social issues and animal welfare.
